How to use this site

This page will give you guidance on how best to use this website.

Navigation

Homepage

At the top of the website banner, you will find links to our key website pages - Basics, Strategies, Tools and Case Studies. These have been colour coded to be more easily identifiable. As you navigate around the website, these will indicate the location of the page you are on. You will also find the change of language functionality which will enable you to change the language between English, Arabic, Hindi, Bengali and Swahili.

Immediately beneath the banner is the 'About this Toolkit' page. By clicking 'Read More' on the right hand side of the box you can read more about the history of the Toolkit and the partners involved in creating it.

Below this 'About' page you will see our horizontal navigation menu which provides more detail but is essentially linking to our key website pages - Basics, Strategies, Tools and Examples. These are easily identifiable with the same colours and names as the top navigation bar. By clicking 'Read More' on the right hand side of the box you can read more about the four pages.

At the bottom of the homepage you will find two feature boxes. The middle feature box contains our contact details, glossary, credits, disclaimer and privacy policy. The far-right box contains details to our other websites.

Features

The 'Related Tools' and 'Related Cases' functionality on the Basics and Strategies pages

You can see this in the image below. For each page you will see a selected of related tools and related case studies in the orange boxes to the right of the page. When you click onto your chosen tool or case then it will take you to the tool or cases page within the Toolkit website. This is an easy way to navigate between the four main sections and to see which tool or cases related to which campaign basic or strategy.

The filters on the tools and case studies pages

There are over 50 tools and over 60 examples on the website. In order to easily navigate the website uses filters. By selecting a filter you will see the results of your chosen selection below the filters themselves. The tools page has only one filter: the type of tool. The cases have three filters; the type of tool used; the region of the case study; and whether the cases are gender-related or not.
